CAJUPUT - Melaleuca leucadendron
Common name: Cajuput
Country of Origin - Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam Australia
Processed - Steam Distilled
Part used - Fresh leaves and twigs from young trees
Characteristics - Pale yellow-green in color with a camphorous aroma.

PROPERTIES & USES:

Therapeutic:  Analgesia, antiseptic, antibacterial, Antiviral, carminative,
expectorant, febrifuge, insecticide, rubefacient, sudorific, tonic.

Medical:  Internal - asthma, bronchitis, candida, colds, cystitis,
flatulence, indigestion, parasites (intestinal roundworms), tonsillitis, urinary tract infection, viral infection.

External:  acne, arthritis, earache, headache, insect bites, muscle aches,
rheumatism, tinea, toothache.

Industry & Household uses:  Used in vaporizers for an antiseptic
atmosphere in sick rooms. Traditional folklore says lice and fleas
would "fall off cats and dogs" when they were rubbed down with
Cajeput. In Asia is used as a room spray for bedbugs and other
insects.  Also used in soaps and detergents.

BLENDS with: Bergamot, cypress, juniper berry, lemon, pine and
rosemary

CAUTIONS:  Don't exceed stated dose - as it can cause nausea,
vomiting, dizziness, rapid heartbeat,  Don't use at same time if
using homeopathic remedies. May cause skin irritation. Do not
use undiluted.
*Any essential oil - ingested in large amounts can be fatal.*
*Keep out of reach of children.*

MASSAGE OIL for SORE MUSCLES
5 drops Allspice
4 drops Cinnamon
3 Drops Cajuput
3 drops Chamomile
15 ml of your favorite carrier oil
Mix all oils, and use as you would any massage oil.
Work into muscles especially after a workout

FOOT BATH REJUVENATING
Myrtle - 4 drops
Spearmint - 4 drops
Grapefruit - 4 drops
Cajuput - 3 drops
15 ml of a carrier oil

Blend together and add 7-9 drops in foot bath,
swirl water to disperse the oils, insert feet and relax for 15 minutes

FOR CABIN FEVER - (to help fight mild depression)
Take a bath with a teaspoon of this Blend added to the water
50 ml Sunflower oil
6  drops lemon
12 drops coriander
6  drops neroli
5  drops ylang ylang
