Common name: Common ginger, Jamaican ginger;
Do not confuse with Galangal oil (Alpina
officinarium is
often called Ginger Root or Chinese Ginger

Country of Origin - Jamaica, West Africa,
China, Japan and Australia
Processed - Steam Distilled
Part used - unpeeled, dry root
Characteristics - Pale yellow, amber or
light green -
with a warm fresh woody, spicy scent.
PROPERTIES &
USES:
Therapeutic: Analgesic (pain
reliever), antiemetic (prevent or relieve
vomiting), Antibacterial, antioxidant,
Aperitif (appetite stimulant),
Aphrodisiac, Carminative, Cephalic (help
healing with cerebral
conditions), digestant, expectorant, rubefacient,
stimulant, tonic. .
Medical: Internal
- angina, anorexia, appetite - loss of, bronchitis,
colic, cramps, fatigue, flatulence, headache,
influenza, migraine,
nausea, parasites - intestinal, travel
sickness.
External: Bruises, exhaustion,
hangover, memory- poor, muscle
aches, rheumatism, spasms, strains, toothache,
varicose veins.
Industry & Household uses:
Flavoring of food products - alcoholic
and soft drinks; perfumery especially
oriental and men's fragrances.
BLENDS with: sandalwood, vetiver,
patchouli, frankincense, rosewood,
cedarwood, coriander, rose, neroli, orange
and other citrus oils.

HOLIDAY MIST SPRAYS
Clove Bud - 40 drops
Cinnamon - 30 drops
Ginger - 30 drops
Orange - 20 drops
Mix with Pure distilled water (4 ounces)
Shake well and mist
Mist # 2
Pine 75 drops
Cedarwood 25 drops
Juniper Berry 25 drops
Pure distilled water 4 ounces
Shake well and mist the air.

Holiday guests will soon be arriving.
Don't forget to add a drop or
two of Lavender oil to the rinse water
of the towels and sheets.
You can also add a few drops to a terry
cloth and throw in the
dryer too.
If you use an artificial tree, as we do,
put a few drops of pine
on an ornament or cotton ball and place
in the tree. Most
guests will think the tree - just might
be real!!
