    <<<<<<<<<<HELPFUL INFO>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

The sun may be fun and warm but it can do a lot of damage to your skin and hair.
Remember to use sunscreen and lotions when you must be out in the sun.
But if you do get burned - there are several things you can do.
If the sunburn is blistering or weeping - seek medical attention.
If you are reddened and painful. Try some of the following.
Take a bath in tepid to cool water. You can add a few drops of Lavender to the water.  You can apply a few drops directly to the sunburned area every 3-4 hours to help with discomfort and promote healing.

With children and the elderly it might be better to make a 'spritz' with 2 oz of distilled water and 3-5 ml of Lavender added.  Add some emulsifier to the Lavender then add the water. Shake well before and while spritzing the areas.  The spritz will feel cooling and give relief.  This can be used as often as needed.

Also apply some lotion or oils.  One of our favorites is In the Sun oil
It is a mixture of Jojoba oil, Sesame oil and a little Lavender. Apply liberally to the affected areas.  This is also a great mixture to use before you go out into the sun. But it provides no sunscreen or sun blocking so be cautioned if you are not tanned already. Use common sense when out in the sun.
