Neroli
- aka - Orange Flower oil - Citrus aurantium
Country of Origin - France, Italy, Egypt
and Tunisia
Processed - mostly by solvent extraction,
maceration
and enfleurage
Part used - Flowers of Orange trees
Characteristics - Pale yellow to reddish
brown with
a light refreshing spicy floral aroma
- unique as it can
be a top or base note.
PROPERTIES &
USES:
Therapeutic: Antibacterial,
antidepressant, antifungal,
anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, aphrodisiac,
carminative (gas),
Cholagogue (secretion of bile), Febrifuge
(combats fever),
hypotensive, sedative.
Medical: Internal - anger,
bronchitis, colds, cramps, diarrhea,
exhaustion, fever, flu, premenstrual tension,
tachycardia.
External: acne, headache,
lack of concentration, scars,
aging and oily skin, stretch marks, tinea
(ringworm or
other skin fungus).
Industry & Household uses:
Commonly used in foods such as
marmalade, pancakes, custard, in eaude
colognes. It is a base
note when used with Bergamot
and in perfumes its a top note
when used with lavender (Chanel#5).
BLENDS with: all citrus oils.
CAUTIONS:
Phototoxic,
May cause skin irritation -
do skin test if before using.
*Any essential oil - ingested in large
amounts can be fatal.*
*Keep out of reach of children.*

Orange - 10 drops
Lavender - 10 drops
Lemon - 5 drops
Tea tree - 6 drops
Geranium - 5 drops
Nutmeg - 2 drops
Neroli - 3 drops
Blend these oils together then use 4-5
drops in
in any diffuser.

CALMING MASSAGE
OIL
Petitgrain 6 drops
Orange 5 drops
Neroli 4 drops
add to 15 ml carrier oil of your choice.
Blend (shake well) massage into shoulders
and back.
