HOW DO I QUALIFY for FREE OR DISCOUNTED SHIPPING?
When your orders PRODUCT total is $100.00 or more (product total) you may qualify for free shipping.
Shipping fees are determined by weight of your order when ready to ship.
Orders that weigh under 2 lbs MAY receive free shipping (if the orders Product total is over $100.00 of course)
Please note there is still handling and insurance fees. Just the actual shipping fees are reduced.
When the weight goes over 2 lbs you will most likely have a DISCOUNTED or prorated shipping fee.
It is possible to be shipped free if the total amount of the order is large and the weight is smaller.
So in order to get FREE SHIPPING your order (the products) must total OVER $100.00 and qualify by weight.
Otherwise you will get a DISCOUNT on SHIPPING. (Handling and Insurance fees still apply.)
Currently the SHOPPING CART is figuring the shipping and discount (although it won't show the discount) except you
will know there is one as our
Minimum shipping is currently $7.10.
You MUST Set the Shipping information (Instructions are on the View Shopping Cart page.)
on the Shopping Cart to be able to see the Shipping costs. Once your order goes over $100.00
AND you have set the shippiong information you will be able to see the shipping, handling and insurance fees.
If you have not "set the shipping or billing information" you will not be able to see any shipping, handling and insurance fees.
(You MUST Set the Shipping information to be able to see Shipping fees otherwise you won't know the shipping costs
until you finalize your order.)
Why don't you give free shipping on orders over $100.00 and over 2 lbs?
The large sizes of Carrier oils and Unscented base products are very heavy. We do not mark up these items
very much and if we were to give free shipping on heavy items we would not be in business very long. Sorry,
we wish we could but it's just not feasible for us. You will still get a discount on the shipping fees.
Do I get Free shipping if I had placed an order that was under $100.00 and say
10 minutes later I remember I forgot some things so I placed another order. Both orders were under
$100.00 but together they total over $100.00
You will most likely have a prorated (discounted) shipping fee. Technically these are 2 separate orders. We have
to process them separately. What we will do is DISCOUNT the shipping fees on one of the orders
especiallly if we can ship both orders in one box. If we cannot ship both orders in one box then
we have to charge full shipping on both orders.
WHEN DO YOU SHIP AND HOW SOON SHOULD MY ORDER ARRIVE?
We know you are all anxious to get your orders, we will try to ship out all orders
within 24-48 hours (business hours that is!)
Please Note that we are not in the office Friday afternoons, through the weekend, returning Monday morning.)
Typically, orders placed by 9:00 in the morning Central time zone Monday through Friday, we will try to get
shipped out that day, but on days or over the weekend when order volumes tend to be higher or larger, we may need a few
extra hours to get orders ready for shipping. We process orders in the sequence they are received.
We will send you an e-mail once your order has been shipped.
(We don't ship on Saturdays or Sundays.)
Once we send you the e-mail notice, your package should arrive in about 3 - 7 days
depending on which shipping method you choose.
US Priority Mail usually arrives within 2-3 days. UPS Ground within 3-7 days depending on where you live from Minnesota.
(In Canada your order should arrive in 7-10 days, remember too that Customs may hold your order for up to 30
days, so don't get upset if it hasn't arrived within the 10 days. It should be there shortly.)
During most of the year we are processing orders and shipping them out within 1 business day.
(Saturdays and Sundays are not business days).
Why do we hold orders sometimes for 24 hours before processing?
**Currently we are Shipping out all orders ASAP - PLEASE MAKE SURE ALL ADDRESSES ARE CORRECT!!
If an Order is returned to us because you gave us a wrong address -
we WILL CHARGE ADDITIONAL FEES to RESHIP .
It is not unusal for customers to add or change an order - we like
to give everyone a chance to make changes but we also try to ship out as soon as possible.
Occasionally we see descrepancy in addresses etc and need to contact the
customer. This allows us time to make the necessary changes.
What address should I use?
In the United States - If you are having it sent by US PRIORITY MAIL - USE YOUR MAILING ADDRESS you use to receive your regular mail!
This is the address where the Mailman delivers your letters and other correspondence.
We prefer to send to a POST OFFICE BOX if that is where you normally get
your letters delivered.
If your mailman doesn't deliver your mail to your house then we want to send it to the P.O. Box too!
If you are having it shipped by UPS - the United Parcel Service - they need a STREET ADDRESS to deliver to you.
If you only give us a POST OFFICE BOX we will ship by Unite States Post Office Priority mail NOT by UPS (United Parcel Service)..
In Canada - same as above.
Do I have to sign or be home for my order?
Your order may require a signature.
Remember - Al and Penny are the only employees!
That's right, it's only Al and Penny that run Birch Hill Happenings.
We don't have any other workers in our shipping department
(or our business).
Al assembles the orders and Penny packs them and checks to make sure everything you ordered is in place.
Can you Ship my order Overnight?
Please Plan ahead. We cannot guarentee Overnight shipping. We can try to ship it overnight if you place the
order by 8:00 AM.

ORDERS TO CANADA
Our shopping cart may not figure shipping costs to Canada correctly.
Your order may be sent with a Packing Slip inclosed and we will send you an invoice with
the shipping and handling added on in the correct amount. Or we may send you an e-mail notice with the total.
Please remember you are responsible for any additional fees or taxes once it is in Canada!
Remember at Birch Hill Happenings we have no Minimum orders
(but also remember there are shipping/handling/insurance fees. )
