Basic soap is made using a fat source and mixing that with caustic ash (aka lye) in a predetermined
amount of water. When all is properly mixed you get 'soap'. Some soap are processed 'cold' others 'hot'. There
are soaps for those that want to scent their own known as Melt and Pour soaps - these are popular by crafters.
We have ALL NATURAL Soaps in Bars that are unscented and a few scented.
There are made (manufactured) in the USA.
The USA made soaps are made using all natural oils and fats.
These oils are mainly from plant or vegetable sources with the exception of the Goat's
Milk soap that has a 'goat's milk' which has a fat content.
These all have basic ingredients with slight variations the 'type' of soap that it represents.
The main ingredients in the Natural USA made soap are:
Coconut Oil,
Palm Oil,
Safflower Oil,
Glycerine (kosher, of vegetable origin),
Purified Water,
Sodium Hydroxide (saponifying agent),
Sorbitol (moisturizer),
Sorbitan oleate (emulsifier),
Soy bean protein (conditioner),
Titanium Dioxide (mineral whitener used in opaque soaps)
Al and Penny have been testing and using all these USA made soaps for our own personal use.
These soaps leave your skin wonderfully clean and soft and because they have glycerine in them
they don't dry your skin out like other soaps can.
To answer your question - these are considered a glycerine
based melt and pour soap. We have them available here by individual bars but also have them available
for soap crafters in 1 lb blocks on our
Bulk Soap and Soap Mold page .
The bulk soap block can be 'cut' into bars if desired or if you don't want to become a 'soap artist'!
Depending on the 'Soaps' added fat or oil will make a difference for many folks and of course gives
you a variety of soaps to choose from.
The USA Soaps are available in a Plain "Jane" White bar, Organic White, a Low Sweat White (this
Low Sweat soap is similar to cold pressed soaps), Castile, Cocoa Butter, Goat's Milk, Oatmeal and Shea Butter.
We have tried these soaps personally and find them all unique and skin loving. They provide
wonderful lather and have minimal scent due to the inherant odor of the ingredients used to make them.

Custom Made Soaps
Yep! We know how busy some of you are and don't have time to 'make' up some soap using our melt & pour soap blocks.
So we can do it for you. We will custom make it for you.
Our pricing is Very Reasonable.
In fact, if you go to 'Specialty or Gift shops' while you
are shopping & traveling you can pay 2-3 times for a bar or two compared to what we are offering for several bars!
And often times 'those' gift shop soaps are made using un-natural fragrance oils - oh yuck!
BUT Here - You'll get to choose the Soap base, the Scent, the Color and the shape or style.
And we make it for you. We make is FRESHLY Scented for you using Natures Essential oils and extracts!
(We do not use any fragrance oils nor synthetics - we use only what Mother Nature has provided us for scents!)
What we do and what you'll get. We'll take a 1 lb block of soap to make:
If you Choose: Shaped Bars - Oval, Regular, Square you'll get 3 to 4 bars and a 'Small bar'
If you Choose: Guest size bars you will get 6-8 smaller bars.
All in All you will get 1 full pound of soap, custom made, scented and colored
just for you.
We'll individually wrap each bar.
(But the ingredient labeling, along with your
'instructions' will only be on the outer package.)
Custom Made soaps are Not returnable, Not Refundable.
To have us make you the Custom Soap you need to decide what you want for the 'Soap Base'
There are eight different bases - all are really wonderful.
Then choose a 'Scent'. Descriptions below or they are self explanatory - like Lavender
Next you'll choose a 'color or no color'
- No color will be the color of the soap &
any slight coloring the essential oil blend used for scenting may contribute.
The coloring will be pastel - light colors for the most part.
One note: the Lavender coloring
can be difficult to master in soaps. It sometimes looks more blue or grey than Lavender, but we will do our best to make
it a pretty Lavender color.
And last is what 'Shape' you would like the bars to be. Standard - regular bar shape, Oval or
a square or the Floral Guest soaps. (Great as gifts or to put out when you have company or
overnight guests.)
Because we will be making them to your 'specifications' it will take an extra day or two before we can process and
ship your order.
But as most of you already know, we process and ship orders as quickly as we can.
And who knows depending on the volume of orders to process -
we may get your soap to you more quickly than you'ld expect!
As usual, once we have your order shipped, you will get an e-mail notice with the
tracking numbers.
Just remember you have to give us a couple days to 'make' YOUR soaps!

Some Helpful Information to help you Decide
Help with the Type of Soap Base
The soap base you choose may depend on your skin type or the manner in which you plan on using the soap.
Castile soap is very gentle and can be ideal for sensitive skin. Or for delicate baby
skin.
Oatmeal soap is a mild exfoliant. If you have callouses or areas you would like to exfoliate without
using another 'scrub' this might be a perfect choice. NOTE: this one has flecks of oatmeal so if you choose to have
it colored realize you will still see the little 'flecks' of oatmeal.
Plain, Low Sweat or Organic soaps - just your basic soap. Does a great job cleaning all body parts.
Organic is available for those that prefer Organic based products.
Goat's milk soap is very softening and mild.
Cocoa Butter and Shea Butter soap are wonderful for skin that loves the extra moisturizing these provide.
Help with Choosing a Shape
This really is a personal preference.
If you just want a bar of soap to use - Pick Regular shape. It is rectangler.
Square bars are handy for use in Bath puffs or for use by LARGE hands!
Oval is offered as an alternative to the 'Regular' shape
Of course Guest soaps are pretty to display when you have company.
If you have small hands you might prefer Guest size soaps.
Help with Choosing a SCENT
Lavender Just a favorite all around wonderful scent.
Calming This is our Calming blend used to scent soap. It makes for a nice bath soap.
Rose scented What can I say? Rose is a rose, is a rose!
Tea Tree Used to help with just about any type of skin ailment.
Relax Nice floral scent, makes nice guest soaps.
Spearmint-Lime The bright citrus minty scent will brighten any bathroom this is used in. Wonderful
in the shower as a 'wake' me up!
Conifer The forest is easily brought indoors. Refreshing.
Orange Blossom Also known as Neroli, it is a light sweet floral scent.
Perfect for use at the end of a long day.
Fruity Green Tea Bright and fruity, a light green tea scent is present but not overwhelming.
We enjoy this one in our bathroom. This scent is not available as an essential oil blend as it is made using all natural
extracts in addition to using pure essential oils.
Lemon Verbena scented A hint of a lemony-floral. Again wonderful for a guest soap.
This scent is not available as an essential oil blend as it is made using all natural
extracts along with using pure essential oils.
Help with Choosing a COLOR
The coloring used is made just for coloring body & skin products.
No Color A good choice for folks that have no color preference & don't want any added coloring.
Pink Wonderful choice for Rose scented, Relaxing or any Guest soap
Blue I like this color for Calming but any soap can be colored using this.
Green This color compliments Tea Tree, Conifer or Spearmint-Lime
Lavender For Lavender scented or any soap scent. Just remember Lavender color is a hard
one to achieve, but I'll do my best.
Peach or Light Orange A perfect match for Orange Blossom or any soap scent
Yellow A nice neutral color, Lemon verbena scented or any you choose.
There are many oils available, if you don't see what you are looking for, just ask!
